Strength. Support. Community.
A gym and wellness space for veterans, first responders, and anyone seeking strength inside and out.
Leaving active service can mean more than just leaving a job.
It can mean losing community, identity, and purpose.
No one really prepares you for what comes after.
One day you’re part of something bigger than yourself. The next, you’re navigating a completely different world.
It can feel isolating, confusing, hard to explain. So you just deal with it on your own, like you’ve been taught to do.
BMF is a new kind of space.
Where fitness, mental health, and community come together.

Built by Veterans
BMF is a veteran-founded wellness company based in San Diego, built by those who understand the transition…because we’ve lived it.
BMF was created to support veterans, first responders, and others navigating life after high-structure, high-demand environments.
We combine fitness, trauma-informed therapy, and events to create a space where you can strengthen both body and mind.
This isn’t just a gym, and it’s not just therapy. It’s a place for strength, support, and community.
Claude Cintron
Founder • Chief Therapy Officer (CTO)Claude is a Marine veteran, therapist, and doctoral student focused on helping veterans and first responders navigate the transition to civilian life.
After experiencing the challenges firsthand, he built BMF to create a space where mental health support feels accessible and stigma-free. His approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, helping people process what they’ve been through and move forward with clarity.
Vince Scacco
Co-Founder • Chief Fitness Officer (CFO)Vince is a Marine combat veteran, MMA coach, and experienced trainer who brings intensity, discipline, and real-world experience into every session.
As the force behind the training side of BMF, he leads personal training, group classes, and the fight team. More than that, he sets the tone for the gym, building a culture that’s strong, supportive, and built on respect.
What is "Trauma-Informed Fitness"?
Trauma-informed fitness recognizes how past experiences — such as military or service-related trauma — can impact both the body and mind.
Our coaches are trained to create supportive, non-judgmental sessions that respect emotional triggers and help participants rebuild strength and resilience safely.
